Location in Mérida
Calle 55 is at the center of Merida which is characterized by its colorful colonial houses and buildings. Here you’ll find tropical squares full of palm trees that provide shade and a relaxed atmosphere.
More specifically we are a short walk from Santa Lucia Park, where at night you can hear “serenata” concerts.
Even in the hottest days, the center of Merida is always lively thanks to its shops, restaurants, hotels, offices, museums, schools, galleries, etc.
After the course, you can take a 5-10 minute walk to the museum of contemporary art MACAY, see the murals at the National Palace, or sit and enjoy watching the people pass by in the Great Plaza.
We are also fortunate to be surrounded by bars and many cultural highlights. For example, at “La 68” you can eat a pizza while watching a documentary outdoors (http://www.la68.com). At “La Fundación” you can learn all the secrets of mezcal (http://www. facebook.com / Iafundacion). And, at the bar “The House of All,” one can discuss politics (unfortunately no website). Not to mention all the many other exciting things and places you will discover once you have arrived in Merida.
